What: The official kickoff of “Healthy Families for a Brighter Future” and Lights on Afterschool Celebration! This will be an afternoon for the whole family with fun activities, prizes, snacks and wellness resources for all!

Why: BGCPS is launching the new “Healthy Families for a Brighter Future” initiative to prevent childhood obesity and promote healthy lifestyle choices in our communities. This will be implemented at the 5 afterschool sites to offer a comprehensive approach to wellness through nutrition education, physical activity sessions, parent workshops and community events.
