6th Annual Spring Wine & Food Festival

The Board of Directors and staff of the Boys & Girls Club of Pharr-San Juan proudly present the 6th Annual Spring Wine & Food Festival. Experience South Texas’ premiere cuisine and fine wines. This event will take place on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Valencia Event Center, 6:30pm-10:00pm.

~ Did you know that Boys & Girls Club of Pharr-San Juan has a presence in many communities including Pharr, San Juan, Las Milpas, Alamo, Lopezville, Hidalgo and Valley View.

~ Did you know that in 2020 (Covid-19), we still served 6,890 youth, teens, and families. They participated in our virtual, community food pick-up, safe in-person program and special “safe” family events through 7 club sites.

~Did you know that each day, the club: helps hundreds of youth with homework help/tutoring services, serves hot meals to community youth and teens, provides art programs to hundreds of youth, lead 60 minutes of physical fitness programs for our youth and teens and expose our members to current technology.

~ Did you know that 81% of our club members come from extremely low or low and moderate household incomes?

~ Did you know that in their adult life, 79% of former members said the club is where they learned to “say no” to drugs.

For these reasons and more, you are cordially invited to attend and sponsor this year’s fundraiser, 6th Annual Spring Wine & Food Festival. Your Investment will assist us in providing Youth Development Programs to our Club Members and ensuring the future of our kid’s through our Summer Programming and our Building Fund. Best of all, 100% of your donation will stay here in our community and go directly to serve youth, teens, and families.

Our goal is to raise over $200,000. Please allow this letter to serve as a formal request from the Boys & Girls Club of Pharr-San Juan for your monetary support. Enclosed you will find a registration brochure with the appropriate information.

And in the words of James Baldwin “For they are our children, we will either profit by or pay for whatever they become.”
