Boys & Girls Club of Pharr – San Juan serves as a positive, out of school experience for youth, teens, and families of Pharr, San Juan and surrounding communities. The organization has 3 club sites and 5 in-school sites, where an average 1,235 members are served each school day. Each day, safety is our #1 priority, and includes supervision in each program area, hand washing/sanitizing, mask wearing, and social distancing.  The mission of BGCPSJ is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to enable all children to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible individuals. We implement our mission each day through various program areas led by highly trained and dedicated team members. Daily programs include: Education Assistance, Technology, Arts & Crafts, Health, Games, Teen Center, Physical Fitness, Recreation, Meals, and Socializing. Through the newer Youth & Family Support Services Program, the organization is able to provide mental health promotion and prevention as well as early intervention services to children and families. Due to Covid 19 and its impact on local communities, this program is more critical than ever as many families are struggling with uncertainties and fears. The funds raised through the Ross Campaign will directly support the organization’s Power Hour program, which offers educational/homework assistance and aids in learning retention.
